Will a RealRack fit my vehicle?

Yes, Real Racks can fit on almost any vehicle with a tow ball. We have interchangeable mounts that suit almost any vehicle out there. The mount is available to fit on either a 'regular' 50mm (or 1 7/8th) tow ball or a 2" square hitch.

Will my bike fit on a RealRack?

Our design is not a wheel cradle, therefore wheel and tire size do not matter and almost any bike, from small kids bikes right through to DH bikes and e-bikes will fit. Real Racks unique steerer tube mounting solution means that as long as your bike doesn't have One-Up style plug in the bottom of your steerer tube, then your bike will fit.

Does the rack require straps for support?

If you have a regular tow ball, you will require straps from the rack to the car to provide support to the rack. If you have a 2" square hitch (more common on utes and larger 4WDs) you may not require the extra straps for bracing.

How much do the racks weigh?

Six-Bike and E-Bike racks are 16-18kg. Four-Bike racks are 10-12kg. Two-Bike racks are 8-10kg.

How many e-Bikes can a Real Rack carry?

This is dependant on the rack, on the regular 2,4, 6 bike racks we have a limit of 24kg per bike whereas the e-Bike rack is designed specifically for the heavier weights of e-Bikes.

Do you have a shop?

Not yet, but if you would like to see a rack in person, the following shops have a Real Rack on display in Christchurch: Goat Cycles - Barrington Street Cycle Surgery - Wilsons Road Church Corner Cycles - Riccarton Road
